Daily Check

Android · iPhone · Apple Watch

Ten small things a day. One quiet app to keep them.

Daily Check holds your routine, from flossing to the sleep cutoff, and reminds you the way a good friend would: bundled, at sensible hours, and never about something you have already done.

The routine

The list, as it lives in the app.

Calm reminders

Reminders that don't nag.

Most habit apps fire a notification per item per time. With this routine that is 16 pings a day. Daily Check plans the day ahead instead and sends 9, fewer once you start ticking things off.

Nearby reminders travel together

Anything due within 30 minutes becomes one notification. Four morning items, one ping. You choose the window.

Done means done

Tick sunscreen off at breakfast and it drops out of the next reminder. Tick it off on your Watch and your phone knows too.

Quiet hours are quiet

Nothing between 10:30 PM and 7:00 AM by default. Move the window to match your own evenings.

Some nudges shouldn't buzz

Water arrives silently in Notification Center. Any item can be switched to quiet delivery, or given an hour's snooze from the notification itself.

Details

The plain facts.

Daily Check is a small, personal app. Here is what it does and doesn't do.

Runs on

Android 8 or later. iPhone with iOS 17 or later, Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later; the Watch app installs with the phone app.

Your data

Everything stays on your devices. There is no account, no server and nothing leaves your phone except the sync to your own Watch.

Where the list comes from

The routine started life as a Notion checklist. The items ship with the app; editing them means changing the app, for now.

Reminder limits

iOS allows an app 64 pending notifications, so Daily Check plans three days at a time, 9 a day on the default schedule, and tops itself up in the background.

Getting it

Download the Android app (version 1.0, about 1 MB). Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser the first time. The iPhone app is in private beta: ask for a TestFlight invitation at [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL].

Night mode

Automatic, light or night. The Watch is always dark.
